The Middle Years Programme The Middle School of the International School Almere provides a framework of learning through the International Baccalaureate´s Middle Years Programme. The Middle School provides an international orientated academic programme for students aged 11 to 16. The school offers the following grade levels; MYP 2, MYP 3, MYP 4, MYP 5.

The Middle Years Programme is based around the Octagon pictured below. The Octagon constist of 8 subject areas: Language A, Language B, Physical Education, Sciences, Arts, Mathematics, Technology and Humanities. Within the subject areas multiple subjects can be taught (i.e. Language B constists of Spanish, French, Latin and Dutch).

The Curriculum Overview hands you the year planner for each subject and grade. Changes to the year planning might be applied by the teacher due to circumstances.
